Position Summary:
The
Clinical Director/Branch Supervisor is directly responsible to the
Administrator/ President and is responsible for all aspects of patient
care, all activities of professional staff and health personnel, and
shall be responsible for compliance with regulatory issues. Consults
with staff, physicians, management team on problems and interpretation
of organization policies to ensure patient and family needs are
met. Is an active participant in formulating and maintaining
the departmental budget. Reviews operating results of entire
organization and ensures the operation of branch offices.
Compares these to established objectives and takes steps to ensure that
appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results. The
Director/Branch Supervisor must be a full-time, salaried employee.
Essential Job Functions:
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Ensure quality and safe delivery of services by all staff.
- Works with Administrator/Branch Supervisor to develop, document, implement and adhere to Policies and Procedures that reflect the agency’s philosophy and objectives.
- Coordinates with other program directors regarding the integration of services as it relates to other departments and delivery of services.
- Ensure that all employees and contract employee and the
relative agency remain in compliance with all agency policies and
procedures.
- Employees:
- Complete employee evaluations and make recommendations for job performance and wage adjustments.
- Responsible for training employees in department.
- Responsible for hiring, disciplining and firing employees in department.
- Responsible for conflict resolution.
- Ensure day-to-day employee and client concerns are
addressed.
- Budget / Finances:
- Works with Administrator/Branch Supervisor and Controller
to create and maintain departmental budgets.
- Customer Service:
- Responsible for actively ensuring that the satisfaction of service is exceeding expectations.
- Promotes the delivery of quality yet cost effective
services.
- Growth:
- Works with Marketing Manager to ensure agency development.
- Responsible for succession planning and cross-training within department.
- Responsible to develop and promote educational programs
within the agency and community.
- Client Services:
- Assess and supervise the delivery of all patient care services.
- Prepares, coordinates and reviews clinical notes and progress notes.
- Provides in home supervision of nursing services delivered by licensed nurses, home health aides, other nursing support staff and other personnel.
- Ensure reports of the patient’s medical or mental conditions are reported to the attending physicians.
- Facilitates and promotes patient and family or significant other in education to assist and promote return of optimal health status.
- Participates in the continuing review of services and participation in the performance improvement program.
Essential Job
Requirements:
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited
school of nursing, BSN preferred or Business Degree
EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of five (5)
years working in the health care industry - with a minimum of two (2)
years working in home health and management. Be of reputable
character and professionalism within the community.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Be an effective communicator in all areas: written, oral, and technologically.
- Have basic understanding of computers and software.
- Be able to provide world class customer service.
- Effectively problem-solve and think critically.
- Ability to manage the work and processes of other people.
- Ability to work well with other departments in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Effectively communicate and demonstrate business sense in relation to the industry and growth of the organization.
- Ability to recruit and promote the organization needs.
- Ability to lift and transport a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Ability to travel to branch locations periodically.
